I have one of these on my 20 gallon Tetra Whisper Power Filter cooktop and my 60 gallon Tetra Whisper Power Filter cooktop. It's too big for a 20-gallon cooktop, but I used a clean rubber band to secure it and it fits my 60-gallon Whisper cooktop perfectly. I originally bought this to keep guppy fry from getting sucked into my filters, but it also keeps large plant debris from getting into my cooktop. It also provides another place for beneficial bacteria to grow. These are high quality inlet sponges with a solid base that completely covers the inlet pipe. I bought an extra set to always have on hand because I like to be prepared. The first set is only 2 months old give or take and is in perfect condition at the moment. I highly recommend.
