Review on πŸ’Ž Enhance Precision with Shapton Glass Stone 16000 Grit for Perfect Finishing Touch! by Robert Tyus

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broken on first use, 3 cracks in the middle of the stone

I bought a 16000 grit stone for $156 and you would think this product would be durable. It's Shepton, after all. The 16000 grit stone cracked on first use. 3 cracks formed in the center of the white stone. Also, it had a chip on the edge of the loading brick when opened. We installed it in a Shapton stone holder for another cost of over $125. I wish I had used it as soon as I received it so we could send it straight back to Revain within the 30 day return period. Unfortunately, as with many purchases, you don't always have to use the product within 30 days and have a return issue. Especially with a total purchase of $281. We probably bought the best and it definitely didn't work as a high quality product. When we tried to claim the warranty, Shapton said we should contact the seller. Without a very special Revain rep named Karen, we would have borne the cost of both the holder and the defective 16,000 grit fiberglass brick which was $281 for both. I would never buy a Shapton product again. Thank you again Karen.
