If you have an expensive aquascape, you are probably a detail-oriented person. You probably hate the way your CO2 hose protrudes past the top of your rimless tank. Finally, clean lines are less distracting from our beautiful landscapes. You've probably also had your eye on those fancy glass U-bends for CO2 tubes. STOP HERE. Buy this one in stainless steel instead. Does glass look good in our landscapes? -- Yes, that's right. Is he the most practical? -- No not at all. Glass breaks quite easily. Anyone who has broken a lily or diffuser during maintenance knows this. I personally use the tougher CO2 resistant GLA hoses (no air or silicone hoses) on my tank. This type of CO2 tube is much more complex and less flexible - as a by-product it also hates being attached to anything. I can't even imagine how you could fit a tube over a glass U-bend without breaking it. Make sure you boil some water to heat the pipe before attempting to bend it - it will still take some effort, but you should be fine. The suction cups and check valves are also durable. :)
