Almost perfect for headgear

We looked at a ton of different options and ended up buying a GoodBoy. It has features the Gentle Leader doesn't have: extra wide padding to prevent nose chafing and straps to keep the nosepiece securely in place (except as noted below). Both work great in this regard. It is well constructed with strong straps and strong stitching. It is easy to put on, adjust and take off with one hand. The weakest point of the design is the plastic clasp that allows for size adjustment. Our huskies love rubbing their snouts in the snow. The clasp is so weak that it comes loose. One of them realized that if she did this enough, she could completely remove the headdress from her nose and put it around her neck. Finally we had to screw a small screw into the fastener, attach a nut to the back and trim it down until it was smooth. Hope it lasts! Another thing I noticed is that the GoodBoy is not a tension free headgear in our case due to the extra padding on the nose. Our 6 and 13 month old puppies weigh around 45-50 pounds each - medium to large in size but definitely not massive. One of them can easily pull me on my GoodBoy walks because it has just enough padding to really not feel uncomfortable enough to deter pulling.

Cons
  • I don't really dislike it, it's ok
