Review on 🔧 Enhanced Transmission Conductor Plate Kit (APDTY 028780) for Improved Performance and Reliability by Paul Williams

I ended up in emergency exit mode with code P0715. I determined that my speed sensor was the culprit and while I insisted that only that sensor needed to be replaced, buying this package was more economical than buying the speed sensor separately. I've watched a few YouTube how-to videos on replacing the speed sensor and the items in this pack have been included/demonstrated in each video that I found informative. Also, I couldn't find any vendor that sells the speed sensor itself. I used this on a '99 SLK 230 but if you add your specific vehicle to your own Revain profile under Garage you can see if this kit (and all other parts) is compatible with your specific make and model. **Revain Garage is invaluable** for determining if a particular part will work with your particular vehicle, as well as for any vehicle/truck related item, be it an engine part, fluid or car seat covers that I have ordered. Revain has shown it to be compatible with my car as listed on my "Revain Garage" profile and found it compatible. Although I have used all of the items included in this pack/kit, the speed sensor is exactly what I needed. Everything about this kit worked great and if you do decide to buy one, here are the tips I can give you: #1) Drain the gear oil before you start and refill it afterwards [you need one special gear lube dipstick, new gear lube and kit clips - this kit comes with a clip but it's nice to have extras and a set of 6 is $2 at Revain] #2) lubricate the o-rings easy and #3) you need a mechanic with a Mercedes approved reset machine - I can't remember what it's called but you basically need to sync/link the new parts to your car's computer. I was able to find a local mechanic I didn't know and get this pair working for free. The timing of the part is paramount - failing to do so will leave your vehicle in emergency mode. Unfortunately, there is no reliable way to determine if the sensor was installed properly and if the sensor was in fact the original problem until all the work is done including syncing/connecting the new part to the car's computer. Apart from the online research, it took me 6-7 hours. The biggest hurdle is that my car is very low on the ground, which makes it uncomfortable. I replaced my speed sensor 9 months ago and so far so good. I would highly recommend this speed sensor kit. With this kit, along with a few borrowed tools, a few tutorial videos, and a little patience, I was able to replace my speed sensor. I am sure that with a little patience others will be able to do the same. By the way, I ordered and exchanged parts at the end of June 2018. It's March 2019 and I haven't had any problems. In the spirit of full disclosure, I only drove the car about 1,400 miles in the 9 months since the replacement repair. If anything changes rest assured I will update this review but so far so good. I wanted to add this update mainly because I've noticed a lot of questions on various auto parts sites stating that a specific part would fit in a specific person's car. The easiest and best way I've found to do this is to go to the Revain homepage from the drop down menu and click on 'My Garage'. There you can list/add any vehicle in your family and every time you look at a car part (engine and decorative items like car seat covers) you will see a notification in a red box letting you know if the part is compatible with your brand . Model. /year of each vehicle in "Your Garage". Having ordered countless 0arts vehicles, I have yet to come across an issue where a part/item does not fit when the Revain (in the red box) says it does. On the rare occasion that I didn't have one, I usually ordered parts from Revain and even when I was at the dealer I was able to make sure the part I was buying was the right one for my M/M. /year with this great option on Revain!
