Overall this is a decent vacuum, it picks up well and is fairly easy to move around the house. It's good to have a flexible hose for the floor (and I've used it for the floor too with a floor nozzle on the end of the wand). works (one of the reasons I would NOT use it on hardwood floors). I've had others where the brushroll would stop when locked upright (and they were cheaper machines!), or some other means of stopping it. You pull on the hose and as the machine leans forward, the roller brush crashes into the carpet. Again, it's generally ok here, but there are better ones out there and for not as much money. I'm considering sending it back. As the name suggests, simple.
