Huge improvement over RV760

Bought this to replace a Garmin RV 760 that I have had for five years. Years. The RV 890 is a big step forward. It's not just a big and bright screen. The software has been greatly improved, the user interface is more intuitive, the touchscreen is more responsive, the voice recognition is better and the processor is faster. The suction cup mount to the windshield on this thing is monstrous, in contrast to the much smaller one that came with the RV 760 that kept losing traction in warm weather. With the integration of Bluetooth into the Garmin Drive App, the RV 890 offers many new functions. Features including integration with Foursquare (a big deal, not because I use Foursquare that much, but because their database has a lot of POIs that aren't in Garmin's database, which allows the device to find more POIs than before), routing to based RV type (class A, fifth wheel or bumper), integrated Wi-Fi upgrades and more. However, two of the best new features are the ability to plan, save and recall multiple routes in advance - even indoors without a GPS signal - and route generation, which allows you to modify the route suggested by the device, for example to take a different one take the Autobahn for part of the route without resorting to "imitation" by entering the city on the desired route as an intermediate waypoint. There are so many other goodies that it will take time to try them all. This was definitely a worthwhile upgrade!
