Review on Trixie Products Lucano Scratching Post by Karen Smith

I'm giving four stars but there are a few things I have to say. Firstly I have two large Armakat towers which are beautiful but one had to be removed as it was old, swayed a lot and the carpet was torn all over. I have two large Maine Coons so I need something permanent. Second, this product and others I have received from Trixie have MUCH better padding than the Armakat and are cheaper. It is very durable, comfortable and aesthetic. My boy is 17 pounds and this time fits the upper well. Enough space to lie down. My other, which is 12 pounds, fits perfectly in a small closet. Technically it only lasts an hour or so because it's not that long. Therein lies the catch. The instructions were some of the worst I have ever seen in my life. Thank goodness people here in the reviews said to assemble it upside down (top to bottom) because it's true. And since I was alone, it wasn't easy to keep my balance, but I managed. But the instructions are so vague, they are in GERMAN, the parts that are numbered on the picture are not actually numbered on the product. Couldn't believe it. I spent more time figuring out which nut to use where and so on. And I've done it before, it's not my first rodeo. Aside from what it looks like in the picture, the platforms will actually go in the opposite direction. Seriously, who came up with this guide? very, very, very bad instructions. What should have only taken me an hour or so ended up taking almost 4 hours. After that yes the product is great the cats love it and again this is a quality product that leaves me confused. I love Trixie products for my cats. I have two of their scrapers and a large round cavity with a soft interior and top that they fit well in. So I might actually have a different tower in the future. Even after going through. But I won't be thrilled about it, I'm sure it won't be any easier than it was. I wish this company would take the time to fix this issue. This can make a big difference.
