Review on ๐Ÿฆ CollidEscape 10-Year+ Performance Window Decals for Bird Strikes with Clear Window Film, Bird Tape, 3/4" x 40', for Effective Bird Strike Prevention by Marcia Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Most of the birds hit the brakes.

Tape is designed to reduce (but not eliminate) bird strikes. This summer they installed a small conservatory. Near numerous windows with 2 birdhouses. The reflection of a large tree in the window pane. Before installation, we received 4-5 known alerts per day (some of them quite severe). Occasionally dead birds were found nearby. We put the tape on a few days before our first cold snap. The bird population at the feeding stations has tripled due to the cold weather. Bird strikes now occur on average 1-2 times a day with no dead birds. So far not a single loud, hard window impact. Pros: It works (or at least helps). The tape is thick with good adhesive. With careful assembly, it does not look unattractive when viewed from the outside. Cons: Expensive for the price. Difficult to install when you want long strips to be straight and evenly spaced. From the inside it looks like duct tape on the windows. It remains to be seen if it will hold up close to the '10 year valuation' as they are touting.
