Bags are better than plastic bags because they are much stronger, but they are exactly the same size as ordinary plastic grocery bags. I prefer bags that can sit upright and have long handles that I can sling over my shoulder. One of the reasons I hate plastic bags is their size and the fact that they're a bit amorphous and the items inside don't feel safe. ie bread breaks on glasses etc and if they have food in them they end up rolling around in the car). I like rectangular bags because I can carry them on my shoulder and I don't limit myself to making all the bags with my hands. However, the capsule is a great idea and very convenient. I keep it in my car/bag to make it easier for me to remember to bring bags. It is very well built but overpriced for most people.
