Absolutely terrible.
That would not be acceptable to me even for an art project like a baby hairpin. They're cheap, they look cheap, and they're usually made horribly and look horrible. Also the colors are not very "diverse". I bought them for a sorority art project and they were so awful we couldn't even use them for that.
