Beware of the rigid hot shoe quick release system

I was inspired for this review by the new hot shoe quick release system which was extremely difficult to unlock at first. I was afraid of damaging either the camera or the shutter button and ended up having to use two hands to unlatch and take it off the camera. Even now, after many uses, it is sometimes very difficult to unlock it. I have used a similar quick release system from other manufacturers without too much difficulty. I had an X1T before and the UI is mostly an improvement. It is convenient to have a separate A/B/C/D/E button. On the other hand, a more complex menu can be confusing. Godox radio control is a bit unreliable in my opinion - it depends on the environment, and the aquatic environment results in degraded radio signals. I don't expect any improvements from X2T.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
