Took me a while to put it together - Tip: the sides go to the front (this makes more sense if you already have this and are parts in front of you). Mine came all crumpled up. Now personally it's ok because I put it in a corner and the main wear and tear is on the underside of the floor. These abrasions would be unforgivable on a $100+ item if they were on a visible side. The description says the color is listed in the material so scuffs and dents will not discolour, except this is totally wrong as the scuffs and marks on the bottom of mine are clearly white and not black as the material should be. There is slight discoloration. top and a few minor scuff marks on each side that I tried to rub off but didn't come off - I guess the pieces were scraped off in shipping. The top is really ugly lol I didn't expect it to have horrible lines. , but it is so. I wish the description said this was a matte black with silver lines on top because it's by no means an espresso. You must include the vertex image in the list. It creaks, it's only held on by 6 plastic screws so I guess that's to be expected. Don't get me wrong, it seems pretty solid (it shouldn't hold a tray or a cat) but I wouldn't trust it to have much weight on it. I will add photos so you can see some small scuffs and ugly lines on the top. When I read the description the material was listed as wood - it's plastic. You might not notice it by looking at it, but if you touch the sides it's pretty obvious it's not a tree. On the other hand, the magnets that keep the door closed are stronger than I expected, the material should be easier to clean (and remain odor and water stain free) than wood, minor scuffs aren't too noticeable (thankfully), and it should be intentional work without problems.
