I used this product to connect the lines to my fridge. The product came with the required rubber washer on the inlet side so no travel to the HW -Bearing was required. I connected this adapter to the outlet side of the water valve that supplies water to my dishwasher. First, I connected a 1/4" plastic water hose to the adapter's fitting and tightened the nut securely. I then turned off the water and then disconnected the water hose that feeds the dishwasher. I then sealed the threads on the original valve outlet. This new adapter is perfectly screwed on. I then glued the threads onto the outlet thread of this adapter and screwed the water hose back onto this adapter. All connections were tight because when I turned on the water nothing spilled! Yes!. The water pressure in the refrigerator is high.
