Review on Enhanced ZWILLING 2-stage Pull-Through Knife Sharpener for Optimal Performance by Luis Nelson

I love my Henckels knives but after a few years they have become a bit dull. While my knife set came with a sharpener-like stick, I had no idea how to use it without damaging the knives I love. I chose this double sharpener because of the very positive reviews from Revain. First, many have claimed that their sharpener stands firmly and the non-slip base does not move the sharpener. I don't know if mine was broken, but it wasn't quite straight, it wobbled a bit. It appeared that either the non-slip circles on the bottom weren't positioned correctly, or the stand itself just wasn't level. However, when you hold the sharpener to pull out the knives, everything seems fine under the power of your hand. Second, only use this sharpener for Henckels knives, not others. Tried non-brands and they don't sharpen very well. I've read that different knives have different levels of sharpness, so a Henckels sharpener should only be used on Henckels knives. Finally, the sharpener is just amazing! My knives were about 3-4 years old, on some I only used the Fine II sharpener on the right side, on some duller knives I had to use both sharpeners. While the instructions say about 5 passes should be enough, I had to do about 9 passes to get both sharpeners to get a really sharp blade. Overall very easy to use, good quality. I'm glad I have a sharpener that sharpens and doesn't damage my handles!
