Be sure to clean the motor shaft BEFORE adding the belt. The last strap broke almost immediately after dad replaced it. I was afraid the same would happen to this belt, but when I went to install it I noticed that the motor shaft was rusted. I assume the last belt snapped as the coarse, powdery rust caused it to slip and then acted like sandpaper cutting through the belt. . I carefully wiped the rust off the shaft with a Scotch Brite Pad. (You can also use fine sandpaper). It doesn't look like the original from the packaging, but it has worked great in my Rewind 2 wind tunnel for the past few weeks. I didn't think to photograph the part. from rust but added a photo after I removed the rust from the shaft.
