Review on πŸ”§ Kool Products Gas Can Cap - Premium Quality Replacement with 1 Coarse & 1 Fine Thread by Cory Owens

Garbage Seal: Tools & Equipment

In less than a month of use (stationary, in the corner of my gas supply garage) the tightness of both types of seals (fine and coarse thread) has deteriorated . Lid). I checked my storage tanks to make sure they were still leaking and found there was no pressure in the tank. After re-tightening and squeezing the can I couldn't get it to seal and it got worse. Looking closer, I found a cracked and swollen seal, and then I removed the thinly screwed lid from another jar and found it collapsed as well. Slightly swollen and tender, simply twisting the pad with your fingers causes it to fall apart. That's how I did it with photo prints. Bought these to test the product before buying 10 more, glad I didn't. The seals are not safe for petrol (doubtful for diesel as it is tougher for rubber). The plastic material of the cap itself appears to be fuel compatible (but I doubt they're UV resistant, so don't leave them out), but there's certainly no seal in the kit. I had my doubts when I put them on, but now I know for sure. Only buy them if you have new gaskets to replace. I know it's just a cap, but the intended purpose of the cap is to have a reliable sealed gas cylinder for fuel durability and vapor safety when storing gasoline.
