In less than a month of use (stationary, in the corner of my gas supply garage) the tightness of both types of seals (fine and coarse thread) has deteriorated . Lid). Looking closer, I found a cracked and swollen seal, and then I removed the thinly screwed lid from another jar and found it collapsed as well. Bought these to test the product before buying 10 more, glad I didn't. The seals are not safe for petrol (doubtful for diesel as it is tougher for rubber). The plastic material of the cap itself appears to be fuel compatible (but I doubt they're UV resistant, so don't leave them out), but there's certainly no seal in the kit. I had my doubts when I put them on, but now I know for sure. Only buy them if you have new gaskets to replace. I know it's just a cap, but the intended purpose of the cap is to have a reliable sealed gas cylinder for fuel durability and vapor safety when storing gasoline.
