Beautiful silk pillowcase. I ordered dark purple and I would say it is a deep rich shimmery plum colour. I have quite a few silk pillowcases, but they are all 19 or 22 years old. This is the first 25 momme pillowcase I've ordered and the weight is just perfect - it's significantly heavier than my other pillowcases and the fabric feels and drapes nicely. The fabric is soft and smooth as expected from the finest quality Silk + Charmeuse fabric, has the expected shiny outside of the fabric and matte inside. When purchasing silk pillowcases I always look for premium 6A silk fibers (the longest and strongest fibres) which result in a premium product. If the product description doesn't list 6A fiber, then an inferior quality silk was used and the difference can be quite obvious. This cushion cover is very well made and has a hidden zipper. At $37.99 the price might seem a bit steep but given the superior quality of silk, heavier weight of silk (momme) and really nice weave, this beautiful pillowcase is actually a steal.
