Paintings are worth a lot of money!

5-12-17 Don't let iOttie fool you with that last comment. When I bought it, this was never mentioned in the product listing or in the instructions. I printed off the product page here on Revain and have the instructions and information that came with it. The thing is this has happened to two different brands of cars that I own and I have pictures to prove it. When I spoke to them about this incident, after they told me they would not do anything about it, I in turn told them that I would make sure people knew about it and that I would do whatever I do best make sure others hopefully don't make the same mistake and experience this fiasco. My 2002 Tahoe has a ring and the Lexus I bought was inspected behind the dash for a 'recall' and found ok with no problems prior to purchasing the car which I have papers on. from the retailer where it was purchased. All they had to do was mention these cars in their product description that they know this item will hurt and save many people from the same problems that I and many others have suffered from. Note that I mentioned in my 3/21/16 post that it was listed as safe on ALL surfaces but a year later and they ended up noting that it 'might' cause damage to some vehicles and they are not responsible. Be aware of what is going on here, they are hiding information from you just to trick you into buying their product. Thanks everyone for the helpful comments. Feel free to keep them coming! 2-6-16 (original post) I think the photos say enough. I immediately contacted iOttie for a dashboard repair on a car my wife JUST got for Christmas! Absolute major on their part. I just can't believe it! Come out of the grocery store and the mount is completely removed from the dash and is on the floor. I never tried to remove or move the mounting plate, it came out right away. Update 3/21/16 I have contacted iOttie many times and they will not report back! Their description clearly states that they are safe for ALL surfaces. They have no disclaimer or mention that this can happen with certain vehicles. iOttie needs to address the fact that they have some kind of gel that will attack certain materials and at least mention their description in it! Every time I get in my new car I see a yellow dot in the middle of the dashboard and I just get angry. iOttie might have a little argument with this person. Update 1-22-17 Here are the latest photos of another car I have that wrecked this piece of junk and before you think what idiot would buy the same product after what happened to them is that I bought them both at the same time, I've only used the worst of the two to get my point across. People are quick to accuse Toyota of using cheap stuff, and the other "ring of fire" is my 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe! I've had this junk for as long as the other stuff. I removed it immediately after it happened to another car. The pictures don't lie, it happens on every surface. Before you start saying, I had to put it on my windshield because it's illegal in our state to have any obstacles on it. Update 1/5/17 Thanks everyone for the suggestions and comments. I now see that iOttie has included a disclaimer at the end of the description stating that they will not be held liable for any damage that may result from this junk. Now stop and think about it for a second. When such a company places a disclaimer on their product page, the question is not whether this can happen, but rather that it will happen on some specific vehicles. I'm glad I printed their page when I bought this so I have proof they didn't have that disclaimer in the first place. Even the box and instructions don't say it will damage any specific materials. Just out of curiosity, how can people vote that a review is worthless when they have photos and all the facts in front of them? It's a rhetorical question, of course, but I just find it odd. Please folks, for heaven's sake, don't use this brand and don't suffer the same damage on your car. And no, I can't put it on my windshield because it's illegal in my state. It doesn't matter what car you have, don't buy it!
