Honest review from someone with 27" hair. I got this because I personally don't like heating my hair (I've been growing it for 12 years now), I don't want to suffer heat damage and it's very exhausting. I was shooting an hour and a half documentary and just finished it when I put my last little curler in my pocket. How difficult it is to thread the hair, my hair got caught several times and pulled out the thread. The "needle" has slashed my sleeve and had to start over but other than that it's pretty easy to use!I kept my hair damp but I confess I didn't use hair gel or anything to make the curls hold better.I got 7 hours on these curlers slept and to be honest they were a bit uncomfortable but definitely manageable (much easier to sleep than on big wheels) As you can see my hair is too long for these 5 inch rollers so the ends are sticking out. I think they should make curlers up to 30 inches long for us with longer hair (one thing that will improve my rating is matching curlers). As soon as I walked in, however, I knew they wouldn't fit. I think this would be great for those with short hair! As for the quality of the curls themselves, I'm amazed at how well they held up without the use of hair gel or other fixatives. Considering they didn't match perfectly, some of the resulting curls are tight curls and won't be damaged upon removal! Overall I highly recommend it if you have short hair but if you are a long haired person like me we should keep looking for the best option ☺️👍🏼
