Goes well with my 2014 Mini Cooper

This CD holder goes very well with my 2014 Mini Cooper. Because the 2014 mini CD player is curved, it was difficult to find a suitable bracket (most wouldn't fit far enough into the CD player to be stable and/or they would look awkward because they would be flat on the edge they are inserted into (the bracket). player while the CD player is curved so the setup looked really awkward and crappy). However, this Koomus mount is quite small, meaning it doesn't run the full length of the CD player. Or rather, it only takes up about half of the CD player, so the overlap of the curved player on the edge of the straight mount is barely noticeable. Because the mount is so small/narrow/compact, it can be slid to any edge of the player (or glued directly to the center if you prefer). Due to the limited dashboard space in my Mini, I move the CD holder all the way to the driver's side of the car. This minimizes how much of my AC controls/display is covered by the mount and how much of the stereo display is blocked. If I slide the mount as far away from the CD player as possible, it makes room for every cup I have in my cup holder (usually a giant 44-ounce diet soda). Other mounts I've tried sat/hung too low on the dash, blocking access to my cup holder as well as access to my display/AC controls. As Mini drivers know, there is almost no space on the dashboard, making it almost impossible to find a place for a phone. However, this mount solves that problem. My only minor criticism of the mount is that it only holds/clamps the phone from two sides and there is no additional plate/lever for the phone to rest on. I don't really care because I rotate the mount so my phone is horizontal instead of vertical so it doesn't slide anywhere. However, I think the setup would be a bit tighter if there was a third arm/plate supporting the top or bottom of the phone. I guess another minor complaint is that the mount isn't very easy to open to dock your phone, meaning it's impossible to do this with one hand (which many other mounts offer). You will need both hands to dock the phone while pushing the two levers apart. Because of this, you really need to put your phone in the mount before you head out. If you're mobile, it would be too dangerous to play around with your phone's dock. However, for a compact and functional CD holder to match the intricate Mini Cooper dashboard, this holder is very good and I would recommend it.
