Great for my needs. The bar isn't the highest quality product in the world, but for what it's designed for, it works great! I installed mine on the frame tube between the rear pins and the seat on the Susuzki Vstrom 1000. Be sure to leave the helmet strap rings where you intend to mount the device to ensure that the helmet can be easily attached and removed (but not). touching the ground, hot exhaust, basically in the perfect spot as you see it a lot!). To lock securely, I found it easiest to apply pressure to the latch while holding it and turn the key to the "locked" position, then let go of the helmet and let it hang in the air.It is otherwise a headache, but given the fact of "gravity" it makes sense. The only thing I don't like about this lock (after purchasing it, installing it and using it) is the PRICE. I think this device costs about half of what I paid, again - it was the cheapest option (but still). At the end of the day I would buy it again.
