No 12000 Grit Stone

I am a professional chef who uses my knives for several hours each day and I sharpen my knife at least every two weeks. Poorly; This stone is not 12,000 grit. I bought a Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x high power LED pocket microscope (MM-300) to see the scratch pattern. This stone is slightly better than my 4000 grit stone in terms of scratch pattern. This stone has a few tiny inclusions that don't seem to affect the scratch pattern, but the feel of the feedback is a bit off. As others have said, I think this stone could have been better carved. It cost $90. Ok this stone is hard unlike my Norton 4000 stone which was more than half gone in 2 years. I use this stone now in place of my 4000 stone and feel like I have to spend less time with my 8000 stone afterwards. Conclusion: I would not recommend. For that money you can get a good 4000, 6000 or 12000 grit stone.
