This is not my usual controller. I use nodemcu with special software, but for testing it was tedious to set it up every time. I don't have a ton of spare Nodemkus. I keep using them for new projects which is why I bought these. Just connect the power supply and the LEDs and you're good to go. I highly recommend this for testing or if you don't want to code software but want to create something awesome for your kids to use with a Kindle or iPad. I would definitely say that you should check it out. It's easy to use. You can create solid colors or different sequences the software has. It is so easy to use that even children can handle it. I bought it mainly to test new LED strips and assemblies and it's perfect for that. I may also buy some later for some smaller projects.
