This is a well made block! I threw away one from another brand because it had a cheap plastic clip that went over the visor and because of the summer heat in the car it would open up and lose its holding power. It has a much stronger metal spring clip, which is a good thing as the 'jaw' spring that holds the sunglasses is much stronger and otherwise could cause the clip to detach from the visor. The sponges also have foam padding that prevents the sunglasses from rattling. Being very skilled, I can easily open my jaws with my middle finger by holding and inserting my sunglasses between my thumb and forefinger.
