Review on Pioneer Electronics XD07UHD Portable USB 3.0 BD/DVD/CD Burner - Slim, Supports 4K UHD Blu-Ray, BDXL & M-Disc Format, Black by Robert Elder

There must be special parts to use 4K Bluray. Please read the entire review.

It also can't broadcast regular Blu-rays on TV. You need to go to the Pioneer website to check if your system is compatible. I'm lucky that my system at least plays Blu-Ray. The software is not supplied on a disc but as code in the manual. It was really a hassle to install software, many of which aren't really needed for the average person looking to watch Blu-ray discs. I'm getting another laptop at the end of the month. If it doesn't work with the device, I will return it. I think 75% chance to work. It comes with a USB A to USB C adapter which I will try with my Thunderbolt 4 port. Regular Blu-rays look great on my 4k monitor. It's just that if I can't stream it on my TV it seems a bit pointless. Yes, I need special features on my computer to see if I can stream it wirelessly to my TV. The size is small and it only uses one cable with no power supply, so hypothetically it would be very handy on a compatible device.
