I find the suction very good. I have no children, a short rug and a black cat and a very small house. I have to go through a small carpet several times to clean it. i check it If there are a few drops of kitty litter on the carpet, I wipe it away as soon as I start vacuuming with a perfectly clean vacuum. It takes a few times for everything to come up and I don't say much. Then it's sooooo hard to remove the nozzle from the vacuum cleaner to do it manually and get into turns. I haven't been able to take mine off to even do that! So between the weak suction and the difficulty I had removing the suction head, I'm a bit disappointed.
