Professional Pet Stylist Opinion WAHL 09591-2100 Cordless Clipper

I have been a professional pet stylist since 2003 and have used various types of clippers. I ordered a WAHL 09591-2100 Pet Clipper with a Deluxe Pro Series Lithium Ion battery to make pads and touch up pets. This is a single speed rechargeable hair clipper with no interchangeable head. The biggest advantage of this hair clipper is that when it is fully charged, there is no need to connect a cable. The motor is also slightly more powerful than other single speed pet clippers. The clipper head is non-detachable, meaning it's not the type that can be easily removed and handed over to a blade sharpener. The "self-sharpening" blade described will likely dull as I have never seen a clipper actually sharpen itself in over ten years. The blades need sharpening, but for the average pet owner, they will last a decent amount of time. Wahl has a good reputation and it continues to this day with these clippers. I wouldn't use this machine as my only machine for professional use as I can't change the cutter head and can only use it with attachments. It's also only one speed, meaning the motor isn't as powerful. It's also a pretty loud clipper. The machine is heavy and not very ergonomic. The area of my hand grips is wider than most clippers and also a bit slippery which makes it difficult to hold on. This is another aspect that makes it suitable for touching up. It comes with a small bottle of blade oil, which is nice. It also has basic scissors. They're tough but work well and I'm happy with them. It comes with 4 safety combs, suitable for pets. Protective combs work on clean and fully combed hair. They stick to tangles easily and don't get through dirty hair very well. The dog in the video has been washed and pre-trimmed with two-speed clippers. I then demonstrated it with this hair clipper. This clipper is best for touching up hair and still works for all trimming of pets on fine to medium haired breeds. If the coat is clean and free of undercoat, it will work in some double-coated breeds. I like this clipper because it is designed for upholstery, hygiene and light body work. This is designed to work on a clean dog with a matless coat. I don't like using clippers that are maneuverable for a shave. I would use a standard blade for this. I think it's a solid choice, if a bit noisy and heavy. It's pretty basic but works for touching up and would probably work for trimming body hair in the right conditions.
