In the promotional image the mirror looks like it has a battery pack. It is not. As you can see from the photos, there is a black connector hanging from the bottom of the mirror. I bought this as a bedroom mirror because I wanted a nice big round vanity mirror and I liked that it glowed. However, the two blue-lit buttons at the bottom are incredibly bright in the dark. You'll need to cover them with something to get some sleep. In general, the mirror is good. Much better for the bathroom than the bedroom or if you don't mind the light blue backlit keys. The LED light is very pretty and a lot softer than I thought it would be.
