I wanted to like this dress but it doesn't fit at all. I wear a size 6 on Guess dresses and a size 4 or 6 on Calvin Klein dresses or Tommy fitted dresses. I ordered the recommended size smaller. I'm just under 5ft 4" and about 134# and I shift my weight to my hips/thighs so I usually like to have a tighter waist otherwise I look bulky. The waist of this dress is high, but not high enough for an empire or A-line style. It adds volume to the waist and almost makes it look like a pregnant woman. It also adds volume to the hip area, making you look wider than you really are. that's never what i want. Overall it looks sloppy and unfinished on my frame, almost scruffy or sloppy. I will add pictures. I know there are girls who want to increase their figure, but I have never been able to, and probably never have been lucky enough to face that problem. So. I think it might work for some people but unfortunately not for my body type. I look much better and prefer a fitted shift dress or a fitted mid-thigh lined mini dress.
