shorter than OEM, difficult to remove by hand.
I installed and finger tightened them myself, but they were difficult to remove. The surface is smooth and difficult to grip. The location in my car (2003 Mazda Tribute DX, 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual) makes it difficult to understand as it is shorter than a Purolator or Fram making it difficult to grab with a wrench. I bought two but I doubt I will buy again.
