Didn't have to jack the car BUT

I bought this because I really hate getting under the car on a hot day (Subaru WRX 2018). I will, but I don't really like it when it's not on the platform. Coming to the construction: very strong. Very well done. There were no problems with leakage, suction or leakage. And it was very easy to drain the old oil from the container into the empty oil tank. Next we talk functionality: as said, all you do is insert a hose into the dipstick and it sucks oil out of the oil pan and so on. I drove the car for about 20 minutes before deciding to change the oil and the hot oil came out exceptionally quickly. BUT: I don't think I drained all the oil. I'd say maybe 5% or less was left in the sump. But it was 108 degrees outside and I wouldn't burn my back for dripping the leftovers. I tried a bit more until I was sucking basically nothing. I think that's the best thing you can really do. I checked the dipstick but it's not even visible there. Then I changed the oil filter and refilled it. I went to check the dipstick and it's over! I figured if I let the car sit for a while the oil might settle; I came back soon and it was still a bit high. So I took it out again and sucked it out a bit to try and get it as close as possible. Luckily, it's also easy since you don't have to crawl under the car. In the hot sun, the oil eventually settled and showed a normal amount (sort of). I'll probably check again tomorrow to see if anything else needs to be drained. In short, it's a really good tool if you don't want to get under your car, but it has some drawbacks. If you feel you should have more complete drainage, do not use this product; If you feel like you can mix 2-5% of the old oil with the new oil then this is a great product.
