Review on πŸ”‹ Stinger SPC5010 Pro Hybrid 10 Farad Capacitor: Enhance Performance in Black by Allen Hart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Some people say 20 farads is too much for 800 watts - I don't.

This cap has solid build quality, lightning fast discharge, holds a charge very well, and the output voltage is adjustable to greatly improve voltage stability and increase the power needed for high-current systems. Let's say your car is 13.5 volts. Well, like me, you can crank the Stinger up to, say, 14.5 and make your bass amp happy. At peak load, my 1200W Prime (800W into 2 ohms) draws only half a volt at peak load. This allows the amp to operate at a minimum of 14V while remaining exceptionally stable in terms of power headroom. Some will rightly say that this cap puts a strain on the generator, to work this way. We all have a digital hybrid design that keeps current efficiency very well. These capacitor loads are a relatively large buffer compared to massive current draw spikes from large amplifiers and dynamic power draw. Many will say that capacitors are useless, these people are either talking about garbage capacitors or do not understand how to use them. .
