Review on 🧹 BLACK+DECKER DirtBuster Corded Floor and Handheld Vacuum Cleaner by Anita Davis

Clean and powerful but noisy

I bought this for my new apartment because I thought it would be a quick and easy way to clean floors (hardwood and tile with a lot of carpet). It gets the job done with more than enough power - maybe *too much* power! I feel like I'm holding a jet engine and it's about as loud. I also forgot how painful ligaments can be. Of course, this cable is *really* long, but you still have to remember to maneuver the cable when cleaning it. (On the plus side, I don't have to crawl to clear before the charge runs out.) The attachments could be more convenient, too; Shark has a great stand for them but it only comes with a cloth pouch which definitely doesn't fit all. They work amazingly if I can figure out which ones do what. It's counterintuitive and they're all vaguely similar, but not quite. However, I like the flexibility. And of course it does an *amazing* cleaning job. The suction is *intense* and worked on every surface I submitted, from hardwoods and tile to carpet and upholstery. But it certainly could have been quieter! And I'm still looking for a HEPA filter. It has a handy indicator that lets you know when the filter needs replacing, much sooner than I expected. The trash can is easy to empty and replace and has a good capacity. Maybe these are compromises; For suction power, trade quietness and cordless convenience, and for superior cleaning and clean exhaust, trade frequent filter changes.

Pros
  • Easy to empty the litter box
Cons
  • Some problems
