It seemed perfect for my 5 year old who loves dresses with ruffles especially when they are pink and purple. The bodice is well made and the lining is comfortable for her, but the tulle is too thin and light to use for toddlers. The tulle tears easily because it is so thin. I understand that tulle, which is thin, flows easily and is softer, but also sticks to things and eventually breaks.
