With the Silicon Valley summer sun, this set is fully charged, automatically turns on after sunset and stays on after midnight. Compared to my other garden light, I didn't have the cord to plug it in and the power to pay for this solar unit. The LED light is a relatively warm temperature, so it goes perfectly with the dark green background of the wooden fence along my driveway. I think it only matters the first 30 minutes after sunset --- after that it's still dark. Installation was easy. The rope was simply "thrown" onto a wooden fence. I didn't have to hang it up on purpose - it just stayed. The small solar panel that houses the battery on the back comes with a plastic pin. I just stay on the ground and orient the panel so that it faces south at a slight angle to the ground - ideally the angle at which the shadow it casts at 1:00 p.m. (which is 12:00 p.m. regular time). , is smallest. There are eight lighting modes, e.g. B. Blinking or steady light. What I did was do a combo mode to cycle through the other 7 modes. My kids can spend 20 minutes going through all 7 cycles. One of the few good things that has made my kids so adorable during this difficult time of being forced to stay at home.
