I also bought these 5/16s, some with 3/8" hole terminals, I've used 3/8" on the battery terminals and they fit just about everything else, starter motor, new fuse link, the me added the generator (with files), I poured solder in the fittings, wrapped the wire with another solder, put on some heat shrink tubing, pushed the 2 ga wire into the fitting all the way, I then used my hydraulic crimping tool (which I really liked) and crimped connectors, then I also used a small butane torch and melted the solder, after it cooled down I put shrink wrap on top and heated it up to make a nice clean connection - these fittings worked perfectly !
