I use these towels for drying dishes and for embroidery. These are beautiful towels, just like my grandmother's in the 1960's. They're cotton, which is why they make such good kitchen towels. At the same time, they wrinkle and crease. It is in order. With each wash they become softer and wrinkle less. Creases are a little unsightly, but if you dry a plate or two they will smooth out. If you use them for embroidery, two things: 1. They are very attractive as a decorative towel that isn't actually used. 2. If you use them after embroidering, wash them twice before embroidering, otherwise the towel shrinkage will distort the embroidery. Finally, if you want to use them for decorative purposes, you need to iron them. Result. These are good towels, especially for the price. Urban Villa makes a similar towel for about double the price. They also embroider beautifully, dry lint-free dishes, and come out of the dryer MUCH LESS wrinkled.
