Review on Lansky 4 Rod Turn Knife Sharpener by Kelly Pierce

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I would recommend this sharpener to my friend. Small, portable, works!

Press down on the blade of the knife and tilt the sharp side of the blade so that it is vertical, as if cutting at a 90 degree angle on the wood of a sharpener. That's all you have to do. .Open the box: Twist the end to open it, so you can push out two stones or a cylinder-shaped whetstone. Set either coarse or finer ceramic at 25 or 20 degrees (there are only two angles to choose from, but if your knife has a precision ground blade at 22 degrees or another angle, you can adjust the angle at which you hold the knife adjust in my opinion!). Move it right 5 or 10 times, then left 5 or 10 times with a rough set of stones, repeat with ceramic to fine tune the edge. You need to get two bricks and turn the end of the box the other way to get two more bricks. I've found that one of my knives likes the 25 degree angle and the other two are closer to 20 degrees. Using a blade tuning product that already had good sharpness, I quickly achieved paper cutting sharpness. be better/or have more jewels, but the Spyderco Sharpmajer is at least twice the price. I've never tried this type of sharpening system, I tried it first. I am happy with it, would recommend to a friend,
