I am incredibly happy to have found these Laguiole steak knives. I was looking for an inexpensive set of Cutco pearl handle knives but couldn't justify the cost. As the holidays approached, I bought two sets of these white-handled Laguiole knives to use at the Christmas dinners I was hosting. As you can see from my photos the quality is excellent and although they are not the same size as my Cutco knives they are much cheaper and much sharper. I know that if I take good care of them, they will last a long time. These Laguiole knives are beautiful and well finished. I got a few compliments on them at Christmas dinner because they're really pretty to look at. I would buy them without hesitation. Bonus: You get a nice little block of wood for knives if you decide to put them on the counter.
