Review on RCA Antenna ANT 110 Discontinued Manufacturer by Corey Krull

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great reception, great price, great quality

This great RCA antenna has been around since the 70's but an improved version of the ANT110 is released every few years. This one is currently the newest and its reception is sharper than ever! One of the best antennas to date. Now they have also added the ability to watch HDTV signals on the air to this model. This antenna is not for everyone. For tube TVs (square, 4:3) people with larger TVs, I'd say over 27 inches, should get stronger amplified antennas. Otherwise you may get a weak signal. This is a good choice for smaller TVs and the signals are perfectly clear. In apartment buildings, the antenna may not work well due to the high amount of interference. I have to adjust the position of the antenna and/or dipoles when I change channels, but it's usually very easy and I only have to move them back a few inches. I have found the antenna to work very well with HDTV signals despite living in a crowded city. It picks up all known digital channels (and a few more!) and gives me a crystal clear HD picture, all with no visible clutter on the screen. When I check my HDTV's signal meter, it says every channel is "good," which is the best signal it can get. I am also very happy with this new version. in, and a UHF loop is already connected to the antenna. Dipoles are a bit tricky to move and require two hands, but I rarely have to do it. I usually just move the base around until I get the clearest signal. And unlike other antennas that have a very thin useless pad, this one has a very thick non-slip and scratch-resistant pad attached to the bottom of the base. The pillow is great. I can easily move the antenna over any surface without scratching or damaging anything. Well, overall it's a great choice for many people who still rely on over-the-air broadcasting. I really hope you check it out! (Update: I recently bought a new one for a different TV and found that newer versions of the same model are not made to the same quality as previous versions. The non-slip base is a cheaper, thinner version and even the base and dipoles seem to be of other. The base is lighter and the dipoles seem shorter. I'm actually very disappointed with RCA. So beware, there may still be higher quality versions out there, but chances are you're getting the cheap version that's on sale now is.)

The Antenna works OK. However, it is not very good for using in a city dwelling.
