Denim is made from 100% durable cotton and feels heavy when you put it on. So hard to find this lightweight denim in a jacket! It's square with room for layers, just like any good coat. Soft flannel lining. The zipper is a bit lighter/smaller for this heavy material, so it's a bit difficult to line up and "tuck in" at the bottom. The hood fastens and removes with buttons, but again, the buttons that fasten the hood become intangible due to the weight of the denim; the middle one slips out when putting the hood on. So I either add another button on the other side of the center seam and/or add a stitch in the center buttonhole to support the weight. If I can't get one of them to work, I simply remove the hood and associated buttons. After the first wash as indicated to get rid of the new smell I'm more or less satisfied. Unfortunately, the price of the jacket dropped at 10 a.m. on the day of dispatch. So life is ;)
