I like being able to choose the position/place to mount my CB antenna. Yes, you have to drill holes in that precious sheet metal, but that wasn't a big deal to me, it's a Jeep, not an $80,000 luxury car. Understandably, most other bolt-on apps are more limited as to where you can install them. Update: My mount broke on the way today. A branch leaned forward as we drove down the trail at about 45 mph and hit my (sprung) antenna. However, I am not disappointed with the product. My antenna passed this test and there was no damage to my car's sheet metal. The mount was the weak link and I'm okay with that. I will be replacing it with the same product as it has served me well for the past two years.
