Ok I was scared and didn't know what to expect when I ordered this dress for my dad and daughter. When it arrived we tried it on for the first time, it was the perfect dress. I wouldn't go down a size, but I only made changes to shorten the length to allow for a little run. You don't need to make the edits I just made as she is 4 years old. She wears a 9/10 and I order a 12.
