If you're wondering if memory card sizes can be mixed, you can. I originally had 4GB and only two memory slots. I didn't want to add 4 and throw away memory if I later found out that adding 4 more wasn't enough. I took an 8GB flash drive and installed it where there was 4 (I remember reading somewhere that there should be more memory in the first slot). Then I reinstalled the 4GB provided by the factor in the second slot. The computer immediately recognized all 12 GB and works perfectly. Worthy addition!
