I bought these because they are made where I'm from (although I know I bought them from Revain) and I want new cutting boards short term, long term needed. move over a distance. After about 7 months of use they were more scratched than any other chopping boards I've had before so I've decided not to take them with me if I move again. I've only used them for vegetables, rarely with very sharp knives, and washed them in the dishwasher after most uses, but I was concerned about two things. First, shavings/fragments of the material where it scratches so easily have fallen into my food. Secondly, bacteria or mold settle on scratches. If it wasn't for the scratches I would have kept them. I removed the rubber feet from the small cutting board and left them on the large one, which helped a lot.
