This book can be inspirational in terms of the patterns it suggests, although I found every sweater I liked changed had to become. The sweaters were either too short for my liking, or too baggy, or too boxy, or the neckline wasn't what I would have liked, etc. That's fine because I'm an experienced knitter and don't need to exert much effort change the pattern. What I find really annoying about the book is the graphic design. I found the following: 1. There are many whole pages in the book, 6, 24, 34, 45, 54!, 64, 74, 85, 94, 104 and 116, eleven to be exact, which gives us a boring landscape and not show a single sweater. Page 54 is of such poor photo quality that I put an exclamation mark. As opposed to a full page of useless information, the opposite page usually has very small vignettes of sweater details. I mean REALLY SMALL surrounded by a large blank page space. Where's the magnifying glass? Sometimes these vignettes show a detail of another sweater or off-topic national costume. I call it a complete mess.2. Models are most often shown curled up in an impossible way, seated in profile, lying on the floor as if deliberately trying to hide the sweater from the viewer, or when the sweater is actually shown the model is lost in the surrounding landscape. For example pages 27 (model hiding in dry bushes), 31 (nice side view, guess what the sweater looks like?), 56 (3/4 view), 61 (very small landscape model), 67 (profile), 71 (on the ground), 86 (on the ground - only a piece of the sweater is visible). Almost ONE sweater is not fully represented.3. I'm also not happy with the way the patterns are presented. The patterns are colorful and the squares are VERY small. I enlarged them with a copier but as they are colored and the copier is black and white the squares tend to smudge or get lost so the copier needs to be adjusted but as you knit you still make mistakes because on some places you just can't count the squares, you have to use your intuition. I want to say that this is a very uncomfortable book. The useless "ARTISTIC" approach ruined everything. 56 (3/4 view), 61 (very small model in landscape orientation), 67 (in profile), 71 (on the ground), 86 (on the ground - only a piece of sweater can be seen).
