Worked great for me, no nagging

I've used it on old garage windows with caked edges, I've cleaned the edges thoroughly with a razor blade and cleaned the windows well, using lots of soapy water on both surfaces and using a floor mop and mine was smooth and clean. In my case it was better to cut the film to the exact size minus a tiny bit because the first piece I made, cutting the edge with a razor blade, resulted in dirt penetrating under the film to the edge . So I don't recommend the "cut an inch more than you cut" part of the instruction.
