Review on WEN BL1040: Premium 10-Inch Carbide-Tipped Saw Blade for Miter Saws & Table Saws - A Must-Have for Professional Woodworking by Philip Lindsey

Really TERRIBLE blade!

I don't write many reviews but I felt I had to. I have several Wen products (a dresser, that's cool, a dust filter, a new 12" drill, that's great) and so far I've had them all. They were great quality and worked as they should. So when it came time for a new table saw blade, I went to Revain to order my regular Dewalt blades, but I saw this Wen blade and wondered if it was as good as all the other Wen stuff I've bought had bought a good money saver! Well I was wrong, they are absolutely TERRIBLE! I never had a kickback on my miter saw until I bought this blade. There's something about the teeth, if you're even thinking about lifting your miter saw before the blade has stopped, NOT! tree DESTROYED! I've been using my miter saw for years and have never had a problem lifting the blade just before the blade stopped. I actually bought this blade and another Wen blade and they both did the same thing. I put my expired dull Dewalt blade back on and had no problems at all with the blade picking up in the same spot. So the moral of the story is DO NOT BUY THIS BLADE, it really sucks and it wasn't very sharp when it came out of the box. I always sharpen my new blades and chisels before using them, but I refuse to do this with an A/Smiter saw.
