This switch is exactly as described. Aside from the hassle involved in removing the original, the actual replacement is pretty easy to use. There are four wires (plus a wall plug) connected to this switch. I would suggest that people label each wire top to bottom so they know where each wire goes when installing the replacement. Some wire holes will only fit that particular wire, not all. I'll post photos in the photo section above. In particular, I had difficulties extracting the original. After removing the chassis and labeling each of the 4 wires connected to the switch, I still had some difficulty getting the entire switch out. I was held back by spring-loaded levers as I couldn't push the shifter back far enough to remove it. As soon as I took a screwdriver and pushed the levers, the switch slipped out. I felt pretty stupid when it came out because the answer was so obvious. Maybe this helps someone else. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments.
